Description

Hello! My friend recently relocated to Minneapolis, and someone set to take her room didn't work out for financial reasons, so we are looking for someone to take the available room who would be a good fit!

The room is about 9.5ft x 11ft with a nice window and good sized closet. There's a "nook" in the room which can fit a dresser or desk. There are sliding doors on the bedrooms which maximize space. Full size bed, floor lamp, hangers in closet, coat hooks, little trash can and fan included.

The apartment is on the first floor of a 3-story detached house, and it has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, huge kitchen with tons of storage space, dishwasher, well maintained backyard, porch. Totally newly renovated with all new appliances. Tons of windows in every room of the house. Houseplants, pleasant decor.

Half a block from Forest Park which is great for walks or running. This is a very peaceful and green neighborhood. Walk to nearby Kew Gardens which is quaint with independent cinema, cafes, bike shop, book shop, etc. Nearby Forest Hills also has tons of shops, restaurants, gyms/yoga/Pilates, Trader Joe's. Laundromat 30 second walk around the corner. Near Key Foods or Trader Joe's. Parking is open everywhere so you don't need to move your car around for street cleaning.

Heat and hot water is included in the rent. We pay for electricity and internet which comes out to about $35/mo per person.

Take the Q37 bus 5 mins to get to the E/F train which runs express. Or walk 10 mins to the J/Z. There's also LIRR from Kew Gardens (20 min walk or shorter bus to get there) to Penn Station in 15 mins. Other bus connections can get you more easily to Bushwick/Williamsburg, or to JFK. It's slightly further out than say, more trendy places in Brooklyn, but I personally think it's worth it to have a few extra minutes in my commute and live in such a beautiful area! It's about 45-60 mins to Manhattan depending on where you go.

It's available Feb 1 or sooner, and the lease ends 10/01/19 with option to renew.

ABOUT US We are two professional women in our early 30s. I am an actor and kid's entertainer, and Melanie is a food scientist and works at a restaurant in Manhattan. I work from home much of the time, and Melanie is at work a lot. We keep the place clean. I also have a cat who is very friendly and cuddly (no other pets allowed). It's a peaceful and respectful environment. We have a TV (Roku/Netflix) and Nintendo 64 and I'm up for hanging out and socializing from time to time!

RENTAL REQUIREMENTS 1st month and deposit. Need to have good credit or guarantor with good credit.

The landlord is very sentimental about this home and needs the people who live here to be extremely respectful of the property and the people who live here.

Please respond with little bit about yourself and what you are looking for in a happy home.
